Travis Holiday Party '09
TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Air Force Reservists, Senior Master Sgts. Andrea Harris and Scott Milo, 82nd Aerial Port Squadron, share the cookies and cameraderie offered by the Team Travis Holiday Party Dec. 2, in the P14 Hangar. There was plenty of food and fun for – as the song says – “kids from one to 92.” A turkey luncheon was provided by the Delta Breeze Club and served up by the 60th Force Support Squadron. Another table offered root beer floats and ice cream, a holiday cake and cookies. Airmen engaged in the friendly competition of an obstacle course and jousting in an inflated arena, and some tried out their talents with the electronic “rock star” competition. The older children tried sumo wrestling on for size, while the little ones enjoyed the bounce houses, inflatable slides, and balloon reindeer and candy canes created by Kelly the Clown. The excitement peaked when the jolly old elf, Santa, arrived in style on the top of the Base Fire Department hook and ladder, siren blaring, and held court inside the open front of a C-5 Galaxy.
