Proud new Air Force reservist, Joshua S. Millay, poses for a picture with his friend and mentor, retired Col. Barrett Broussard, and his recruiter, Tech. Sgt. Wiliam Pullion Oct. 21.

Millay asked the former Vice Commander of the 349th AMW to administer his oath of office as he transitions to the Air Force Reserve after serving as a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Navy.

Millay is entering his new service as a staff sergeant, and joins the 312th AS as a flight engineer. The "Cajun" colonel from Louisiana retired in June of 2011, and continues to fly as a civilian airline pilot.
