The 349th Air Mobility Wing graduated 25 members from Air Force Reserve Command's Senior NCO Leadership Course, March 16. During the two-day course, they explored trust, teamwork, and communication in a variety of facilitated discussions, presentations and team building activities.

"The scenarios and activities gave me a different perspective to better handle situations with my airmen and colleagues," said Master Sgt. Christine Palmer from the 349th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron.

The course also presented planning goals for the students, and Command Chief Ericka Kelly was invited to share her enlisted development story.

Senior Master Sgt. Don Davis from the 349th Operations Group appreciated her perspective and guidance, "I enjoyed meeting our new Command Chief, hearing about her background and how she has juggled so many commitments, and fought for her higher education. The fact that she spent the weekend with us says a lot about how much she values the development of her own people."

If you have never attended the SNCOLC then you are missing out on an opportunity to work with other senior NCOs on today's Air Force issues. The course provides senior NCOs the opportunity to explore in-depth communications and leadership issues and initiatives. This course was facilitated by Master Sgt. Brenton Black from Minneapolis-St Paul and Master Sgt . Barbara Woodruff from Scott Air Force Base, Ill. After taking the course for themselves, they auditioned for the facilitator role and now travel to other bases within the command who are hosting the course.

In fiscal year 2015, Travis will host the course again, and AFRC will host a SNCOLC Facilitator Candidate Selection Course. The prerequisites are you must be in the grade of master, senior master, or chief master sergeant and never have attended this course, enroll using the application form letter and submitting the form to Wing training. The dates for both courses are  yet to be announced, but for more information contact Master Sgt. Andrea Johnson at 707-424-4126 or Master Sgt. Ben Scott at 707-424-2913.
