Chief says farewell after nearly 33 years of service

Chief Master Sgt. Sandra "Sunny" Santos, 349th Air Mobility Wing, retired after nearly 33 years of service at a ceremony March 9, at Travis Air Force Base, Calif.

Santos, who first entered the Air Force in 1981, received her initial training in aerospace ground equipment. Throughout her career, Santos held numerous positions, such as an AEG mechanic and technician, she served as a Basic Military Training Instructor, later becoming a Military Training Leader, and has since then taken several other leadership positions such as a first sergeant, and most recently, as the command chief for the 349th AMW. 

Santos deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
