One of the cornerstones to success in your Air Force career is continuing your professional military education.

Master Sgt. Ben Scott, flight chief, 349th Force Support Squadron Force Development Flight, is here to help with that, and has good news for 349th Air Mobility Wing Airmen.

"The maximum eligibility window for Distance Learning PME has been successfully waived for all Air Force Reserve Command Airmen," he reports. "This is great news for us, so please get the word out there."

More good news for reservists came out of a command hosted conference at the end of August.

· For prior Sister Service accessions that come in the Reserve as a Staff Sergeant with eight or less years' time in service, the max eligibility window for in-residence Airman Leadership School is waived. They will get an increased attendance priority.

· The Course 15 prerequisite for in-residence Noncommissioned Officer Academy will not go into effect until about the July timeframe. The 349th doesn't have a list of our NCOA dates yet.

· The Course 14v6 prerequisite for in-residence Senior NCO Academy will not go into effect until fiscal year 2015. Those who have already completed Course 14v6 are currently eligible to attend the shortened version of SNCOA.

· The priority scheme for in-residence SNCOA has been announced. Master Sgts. in their window can attend beginning Mar. 9, 2015.
All of these updates were sent out as the Enlisted PME and COC Checklist, by Scott and should be available from your unit enlisted training manager.

· The Chief Master Sgt Leadership Course (CLC) is making a comeback, but information on dates for the course is not available yet. This is an Air Force proctored, ribbon-awarding PME school, and is different and separate from the AFRC CMSgt Orientation Course, taught at the Professional Development Center, Robins Air Force Base, Georgia.

Please remember the proper chain for enlisted PME questions begins with your UETM, then the 349th FSS Force Development Flight. Please do not contact the AFRC course manager.

"Ninety-nine percent of the time, we have the answers to your questions right here at Travis," said Scott. "We're here to help you make your career what you want it to be."
