The 349th Air Mobility Wing Chaplain's Annual Food Drive has wrapped-up after another holiday season, Dec. 22. This year's donation tally comes in with just under 2,400 pounds of food to benefit 349th Air Mobility Wing members, and those in need in the local area.

"The generous men and women of the 349th Air Mobility Wing come through once again," Chaplain (Lt. Col.) LeBane Hall said. "This year's total is 500 pounds more than last year's - way to go everyone!"

The Chaplains office had an "unofficial" challenge going on though-out the wing. Even though the 749th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron was leading the way in donated canned foods in November, the contest winners are as follows:

Heavyweight: 349th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron / 312th Airlift Squadron
Middleweight: 349th Aeromedical Staging Squadron
Lightweight: 349th Air Mobility Operations Squadron (beating the 349th Wing Honor Guard by less than 4 pounds!)

"Every year people step-up, and every year I am proud to belong to such an awesome wing! We couldn't do it without you," Hall praised.

The 349th Chaplains office has hosted an annual wing food drive since 2002.

The need for donations continues thought out the year. For squadrons who want to know how to help or would like information on organizing a food drive, contact the Wing Chaplain's office at 707-424-0308.
