While volunteering for the Wreath Project Sept. 7 at the C.C. Yin Ranch, Senior Master Sgt. Michelle Hammer Coffer made a new furry friend. Micah is a service dog in training, so his harness says “Pet me please,” as socialization is part of his curriculum. He even has his own business card! Hammer Coffer is assigned to the Air Force Reserve’s 945th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron at Travis Air Force Base. The Wreath Project works with Wreaths Across America to place wreaths on all the graves at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, for the holidays. Airmen from the 60th and 349th Air Mobility Wings and the 621st Contingency Response Group volunteer each year to help lay the wreaths and pick them up after the new year begins.
