Former 349th vice commander comes home to pin-on

Lt. Gen. Frank Padilla, a previous 312th AS commander presided over the 'pin-on' ceremony for Brig. Gen. Robert K. Millmann Jr. who was both a previous 79th Air Refueling Squadron commander and a 349th Air Mobility Wing vice commander, July 25.

General Millmann's wife Jane and his mother Rosemary Millmann "pinned-on" BG stars during the event.  General officers are presented with their own flag upon promotion to O-7 and the Travis honor guard had the honor of unfurling General Millmann's general officer flag for the first time during his ceremony. 
 
General Millmann is currently assigned as the mobilization assistant to the commander, 618th Tanker Airlift Control Center located at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. The 618th TACC is responsible for planning, scheduling, and directing a fleet of more than 1,300 aircraft in support of combat delivery and strategic airlift, air refueling, and aeromedical operations around the world.
