349 MXG Assumption of Command

U.S. Air Force Col. Cade Gibson assumed leadership of the 349th Maintenance Group during an assumption of command ceremony, May 6, at Travis Air Force Base, California. Col. Lee E. Merkle, 349th Air Mobility Wing commander, presided over the ceremony, handing the reins to Gibson. Gibson will oversee the 349th MXG which is responsible for providing maintenance support to the 349th AMW, which is the largest associate wing in the Air Force Reserve. The wing is comprised of more than 3,000 reservists, Air Reserve Technicians - ARTS, and civilian employees.
