All-female aircrew takes flight
An all-female flight crew poses inside the cockpit for a photo while holding up a photo of their children to highlight Month of the Military Child, prior to take-off on a training flight from Travis Air Force Base, California, April 15, 2022. The air crew for the U.S. Air Force C-17Globemaster III, were made of women from the 301st Airlift Squadron and an airman from the 60th Operation Support Squadron. Also flying with the all female flight crew was Col. Jacquelyn Marty, vice commander for the 349th Air Mobility Wing. Marty who is retiring later in June of this year was excited to be able to experience flying with an all-female flight crew for the first time before retiring, she said.
