45 APS
Senior Master Sgt. Ron Mcauley, 45th Aerial Port Squadron, was on hand to get some photos when a team from the 45th APS had a special training opportunity working with the American Armory Museum. The team was eager to help achieve a higher level of training by using some vehicles they do not get to see very often. The vehicles enable them to test to their Joint Inspection team, Load Planners, Ramp team, and the Vehicle Control Officer. The amphibious vehicle is called a LARC V. It is a Navy vehicle used for various operations and is on loan to the Museum. The Museum is a nonprofit. The other vehicle the 45th APS team loaded is a M9 Half Track that was originally used in WWII and then was given to Israel and used during the Israeli Six-Day war. (U.S. Air Force/courtesy photo)
