Former 349th AMW commander makes history
The challenge coin is a military tradition, and one Brig. Gen. Maryanne Miller has extended to the children of the 349th Air Mobility Wing Airmen she commands. During the wing's first Yellow Ribbon Reintegration Program conference, hosted by the 349th Maintenance Group, she visited with the children and presented coins to all of them. Other events for the YRRP included briefings, booths and prizes for parents, games, goodies and pizza for the kids, and finished with a spaghetti dinner and town hall meeting. The YRRP is DOD sanctioned, and provides assistance and support to deployers families pre-, during and post-deployment. (U.S. Air Force photo/SMSgt. Ellen L. Hatfield).
