349th Skills Training 2013

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Aerial Porters perform a joint inspection on California Army National Guard equipment and vehicles at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., Sept. 7, 2013. The joint inspection process ensures cargo is safe and prepared for transport on Air Mobility Command aircraft. The Guardsmen from the 149th Chemical Company, 579th Engineer Battalion, Turlock, Calif., trained with Travis Air Force Reservists reinforce skills and interoperability. The 349th Air Mobility Wing's weekend-long specialty skills training event engaged more than 500 Reserve Airmen in hands-on training in the wing's core missions of moving passengers and cargo, generating sorties, flying aircraft, defending the base and providing high-quality medical care. This cost-saving training event fostered communication between units and enhanced esprit de corps. (U.S. Air Force Photo / Lt. Col. Robert Couse-Baker)
