JROTC Mar 2014

Students from River City High School’s Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps visited Travis Air Force Base, Calif., to learn about the Team Travis mission, March 21. The students, who are from West Sacramento, toured the installation, learning about the air traffic control, firefighter, explosive ordinance disposal and security forces career fields. Retired Col. Russell Warner, a senior aerospace science instructor for River City High’s JROTC program, explained that although this was the school’s first tour to Travis Air Force Base, the initial feedback from students was extremely positive and he hoped to bring future groups to the base.
