Air refueling C-17

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Training Training Training: Members of the 301th Airlift Squadron, Travis Air Force Base, take a break from California’s rainy skies and take advantage of the sunny skies above to practice air refueling a C-17 Globemaster III, the newest cargo aircraft to the Air Force inventory. On this flight Lt. Col. Michael Casebeer, C-17 pilot trainer for the 301st, was putting Maj. Sean Pierce and Capt. Douglas West, both C-17 pilots, through their paces including practicing to air refuel from a KC-10 tanker aircraft which is positioned above the C-17 with air refueling boom extended.
