349th welcomes UCI team
TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., -- The welcome line: Col. Maryanne Miller, commander for the 349th Air Mobility Wing at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., shakes hands with 1st. Lt. Dustin Doyle, Chief of Assignments Branch for the Air Force Reserve Command, Robins AFB, Ga., as he departs a C-17 aircraft, March 3. Lieutenant Doyle is part of a 54-member Air Force Reserve Inspector General’s Unit Compliance Inspection team. Colonel Miller along with the 349th vice commander and group commanders were welcoming the team to Travis to kick-off a five day UCI inspection of the 349th AMW. The team will perform an independent assessment of the health, effectiveness, and performance of the wing with an ultimate goal of optimizing its capabilities as part of our combat air forces. The team helps the wing find and resolve issues, train and mentor personnel, share new ideas and benchmark programs while stressing a “we’re here to help” attitude. (U.S. Air Force photo/Master Sgt.
