349th MDS exersice

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- This is just a test: (left to right) Senior Master Sgt. Nolan Delemos, respiratory technician and Technical Sgt. Roy Hill, medical technician, both with the 349th Medical Squadron, part of an emergency room team, stand by as 1 Lt. Leah Gilliland, 349th MDS nurse, describes a simulated emergency room scenario and patient treatment to visitors during an annual 349th MDS mass casualty training exercise held at Travis AFB, May 17. The exercise is designed to train medical personnel for deployment into combat areas by setting up and operating a fully functioning hospital in the field. The 130 medical personal who participated in the exercise manned all areas of the hospital including the emergency and operating rooms, dental section, public health, physical therapy, pharmacy and administration. Looking on are (left to right) Maj. Kim Lopez, 349th MDS Medical Readiness Officer; 349th Air Mobility Wing Command Chief Master Sgt. Christine Taylor; Col. Maryanne Miller, 349th AMW Commander; Col.
