Canadian learning the ropes.
Master Cpl. Paul Gairdner, Avionics Technician with the 429th Squadron stationed at Canadian Forces Base Trenton, Ontario, practices the task of tie-down inspection on a C-17 Globemaster III cargo aircraft during a class in general aircraft familiarization at Travis AFB. The 349th Equipment Maintenance Squadron, Inspection Section facilitated the class giving hands-on training and answering questions for the team. Master Cpl. Gairdner, who is attending the six-week class with a team of avionics specialists from CFB Trenton was very enthusiastic about the training. “It has been very interesting working with the U.S. Air Force, and I am very happy to be part of this experience,” said Master Cpl.
