Senior Master Sgt. Jennifer LaPore, C-17 Assistant Loadmaster Superintendent for the 301st AS and Maj. Kenneth Tyler, nurse with the 349th AES, join forces carrying a troop seat component to assemble seating for members of the 939th Services Flight from Portland Air National Guard Base, Ore. who will be boarding and with a destination Mildenhall for their annual tour training. This C-17 Globemaster III flight was the “Heritage Trip” for a team from the 301st AS, traveling to England with the 89 year old commander of the World War II version of the 301st AS, the 301st Troop Carrier Squadron. Along with transporting the 939th SVF the 349th AES also utilized the flight for training in assembling patient litters, patient movement and treatment, and practicing loading a patient during “engine running” conditions.
