349th CofC 11 09

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Brig. Gen. Eric W. Crabtree, 4th Air Force commander (left), passes the flag of the 349th Air Mobility Wing to Col. John (Jay) C. Flournoy, Jr., in a change of command ceremony here Nov. 15, 2009. Colonel Flournoy assumes command of the Air Force Reserve Command’s largest associate wing from Brig. Gen. Maryanne Miller, who has been assigned to a position in the Pentagon. The ceremony was well attended by members of Team Travis and the local community. The change of command ceremony is a time-honored tradition which formally symbolizes the continuity of authority as the command is passed from one officer to another. (U.S. Air Force photo / Lt. Col.
