TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- As the rain clouds loomed dark overhead, retiring Brig. Gen. Thomas Gisler couldn’t avoid getting wet during his “Fini” flight ceremonies, Jan. 9, at Travis AFB. Mrs. Cleo Gisler aims the fire hose, spraying her husband with water in an Air Force tradition that marks, for the General, the end of a 35-year career in the Air Force. Many friends and coworkers also took up fire extinguishers and assisted in soaking the General. The official retirement ceremony will be on Saturday, Jan. 12, at the Delta Breeze on Travis AFB.
