TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif., -- Walking the walk: Members from the 349th Air Mobility Wing and the 60th AMW joined the Martin Luther King Remembrance Walk at Travis Air Force Base, Jan. 14, to celebrate the many great accomplishments of the slain civil rights leader. About 50 people turned out for the walk, leaving from 60th AMW headquarters building and walking for about 20 minutes to Chapel 1, for a ceremony there. Holding the banner from (left to right) are: 60th AMW Command Chief Master Sgt. Michael Williams; 615th Contingency Response Wing Commander, Col. Tony Hinen; 60th AMW Chaplain (Col.) Leon Page; 349th Operations Group Deputy Commander, Col. Dale Andrews, and 60th AMW Vice Commander, Col. GI Tuck. “I am motivated by the idea that you can have one individual like Martin Luther King inspire so many people,” said Master Sgt.
