349th Safety Info at work
TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Airman First Class Casey Barnham, C-5 Crew Chief, 349th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, secures his safety harness on top of a C-5 before beginning work on top of the aircraft. As depicted in these photos, Fall Protection Systems designed for military aviation are both user-friendly and non-restricting while providing continuous, complete and uncompromising safety while working at the different heights of a C-5 Cargo Aircraft. Working at such heights are an apparent and inherited danger associated with aircraft maintenance that is drastically reduced and in some case eliminated by the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
