TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- With the passing of the squadron flag, Lt. Col. Neal Landeen accepted command of the 349th Mission Support Squadron from Col. Nancy Brooks, 349th Mission Support Group commander, on Aug. 22. Relinquishing command was Lt. Col. Lynn Marshall, who accepted the position as the wing Inspector General. A prior U. S. Marine, Colonel Landeen is a native of, and still lives in, Sioux Falls, S.D. He comes to Travis Air Force Base from the Air Force Reserve's 934th Airlift Wing, Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport Air Reserve Station, Minn., where he was commander of the Services Squadron. His sons are carrying on the military tradition, with one in U.S. Army OCS and another at the U.S. Naval Academy. His wife, Laurie, a doctor, is also prior Air Force. In his civilian life, Colonel Landeen says he is "Mr. Mom." (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Master Sgt. Ellen L. Hatfield)
