BG Fobian

Air Force reservist, Brig. Gen. John Fobian and his son, 1 Lt. Kevin Fobian, stand on the flight line at Travis AFB, Calif., Apr. 1. General Fobian, commander of the 433d Airlift Wing, Lackland AFB, Texas, landed his C-5 Galaxy at Travis on the first leg of his final or “fini” flight. He met up with his son, an active duty KC-10 pilot with the 6th Air Refueling Squadron here, for the next leg to Hickam AFB, Hawaii. During that flight, his C-5 was refueled by the KC-10, a first for the General. The Lieutenant rode along with the KC-10 crew, taking photos of the mission for his father. “It’s for our family Christmas card,” joked the General. Gen. Fobian has accepted a non-flying position at Randolph AFB, Texas, where he will be assigned to Air Education and Training Command. (U.S. Air Force photo/Senior Master Sgt. Ellen L. Hatfield)
