At 911 Donaldson Way East on Sept. 11, 2016 - 15 years to the day after Sept. 11, 2001 - the City of American Canyon dedicated their 9/11 memorial, created from pieces of beams from the World Trade Center Twin Towers that fell that day. Keynote speaker for the ceremony was Lt. Col. Andrew Frankel, 349th Mission Support Group commander. Providing musical context for the event was the U.S. Air Force Band of the Golden West Brass Quintet. The memorial was more than eight years in the making, and was created by renown artist, Gordon Huether, who also created the Napa 9/11 memorial that was dedicated on the tenth anniversary of the attack on America.
