Citizen Airmen of the 349th Air Mobility Wing,

I am humbled and grateful Colonel Burger and Colonel Kozak gave me the opportunity to serve as your command chief for the 349th Air Mobility Wing. While working alongside our 60th AMW and 621st Contingency Response Wing partners, I gained a greater understanding and appreciation of our associate wing's role in executing the mobility mission.

During my time at the wing, I met amazing people and built relationships that will last a lifetime. My sincere appreciation goes out to the commanders, chiefs, first sergeants and every single Airman that touched my life. I ask the Airmen representing the 349th AMW to continue on as strong as they are now and to keep me grounded in my new assignment.

As the Air Force Reserve Command chief, I serve as a representative and advocate for the entire Air Force Reserve enlisted force. My goal is to be accessible and to concentrate on mentoring our Airmen so they can understand their part in the big mission. Sometimes the world is so big that we forget why we are loading aircraft, taking blood pressures, creating ID cards or checking out tools before going to the flight line. We’re doing that all because we are unique parts of the big picture. Without us, the puzzle is incomplete.

In this new role, I will have an enhanced awareness of our Airmen serving as total force partners worldwide. As your AFRC chief, I will continue to work hard just as you do and continue to take pride in representing our Airmen. But most of all, I intend to be that individual who will stand by each of you as we bring our command towards the future.

Very Respectfully,

ERICKA E. KELLY, CMSgt, USAF
Command Chief Master Sergeant
Air Force Reserve Command
