349th AMW announces new CV

Col. Adrian K. White returns to Travis Air Force Base as the new vice commander of the 349th Air Mobility Wing.   The colonel served with the 70th Air Refueling Squadron in a variety of leadership roles from September 2002 to August 2012. His service included support of Operation Noble Eagle, and numerous deployments to Southwest Asia for Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.   

Starting his military career by enlisting in the Army in 1984, he has served in many operational roles in the Regular Army, Army National Guard, Air National Guard and Air Force Reserve, including joint assignments in the Pentagon and overseas. 

Colonel White is a command pilot with more than 5,100 hours in the UH-1H Iroquois (Huey), CH-47D Chinook, HH-60G Pave Hawk and KC-10A Extender.

Immediately prior to his return to Travis, the colonel was Battle Watch Captain for Operations, European Command, European Plans and Operation Center, Patch Barracks, Stuttgart, Germany. 

Colonel White succeeds Col. Patrick T. Williams, who became the Individual Mobilization Assistant to the Commander, A-5/8 staff, Headquarters Air Mobility Command, Scott Air Force Base, Illinois.
