Civilian employers of Reserve members are more likely to have a good relationship with, and be supportive of their reservists when they know how their job helps accomplish the Air Force mission. One of the best ways to show this first hand, is by having them come out for the 349th Air Mobility Wing's Employer Appreciation Day. This year's events are scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 20.

Reservists can nominate one person from their job who is their immediate supervisor, or an executive or owner of the business. Employers are welcomed by wing leadership, then invited to spend the day with the men and women of the 349th to learn about the Air Force Reserve, the 349th Air Mobility Wing and our missions, and, most importantly, how their Reservist's efforts are instrumental to the security of our great nation. There are only 80 slots available, and the slots will be filled on a first come, first served basis.

The Oct. 20 Employer Appreciation day itinerary may differ from previous years due to budget cuts. The day will include one, or more, static aircraft tours and several demonstrations from assorted 349th Wing agencies.

Reservists interested in sponsoring their employer need to submit their employers name and information at https://einvitations.afit.edu/inv/index.cfm?i=166383&k=0367440A7354
no later than Sept. 26. For more information, call the 349th Public Affairs office at 707-424-3936.
