349th Air Mobility Wing selects new command chief Published Dec. 23, 2013 By 349th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Command Chief Master Sgt. Ericka Kelly was selected for the 349th Air Mobility Wing's top enlisted position. Col. Matthew Burger, 349th Air Mobility Wing Commander, made the selection Dec. 13. Before being selected, Kelly served as the command chief master sergeant for the 452nd Air Mobility Wing, March ARB, Calif. She replaces Chief Master Sgt. Sandra E. Santos, who is retiring early next year from the Air Force Reserve after more than 31 years of service. Chief Kelly graduated Air Force Basic Military Training, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, October 1987. Her first assignment after technical school was as a medical technician in charge of coordinating patient movement at the 41st Aeromedical Staging Facility, Luke AFB, Ariz. In 1992, she served honorably in Operations DESERT SHIELD and DESERT STORM. Chief Kelly served with the 349th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron, here, May 1993, as an aeromedical evacuation craftsman, where she deployed in support of Operation RESTORE HOPE. One year later, she transferred to the 452nd AES, March ARB, Calif., where she served as the Squadron Superintendent and deployed twice in support of Operations ENDURING and IRAQI FREEDOM.
