Applications are being accepted for First Sergeant positions located in the 349th Air Mobility Wing, AFSC: 8F000, Auth Grade: master sergeant. This is a traditional reservist assignment for a top level master sergeant position requiring a seasoned, proven leader and manager.

-Job Description: Exercises general supervision over assigned enlisted personnel and is the focal point within the squadron for all matters concerning enlisted members. The first sergeant is a critical link in providing the commander a mission-ready enlisted force. In addition, the first sergeant must work closely with the command chief master sergeant (CCC) to prepare the enlisted force to execute the wing and base missions.

-Qualifications: Applicants for this position must be exceptionally well qualified with a broad breadth of experience and significant supervisory and leadership experience. They must have a minimum score of 75 on the current physical fitness assessment; minimum ASVAB scores of 41 admin or 62 general. Must possess a 7-skill level. Must project an overall military image that well exceeds minimum standards, high professional standards, and exemplary conduct. Candidates must possess tact and diplomacy required for daily contact with all DoD agencies. The applicant must also possess a proven ability to effectively communicate with subordinates, peers and superiors. Reference AFI 36-2113 for more information

To be eligible for assignment, applicants must be a master sergeant or technical sergeant immediately promotable to master sergeant. Board will be held February B-flight, Feb 22-23. Candidates will be contact with exact time and location.
