Nothing is more important for America's veterans than their final salute, as they leave this earthly life, and we bid them farewell. Ten of Travis Air Force Base's finest Airmen graduated from the Honor Guard Funeral Honors course Aug. 15, and are now ready to perform those solemn ceremonies, along with their other duties.

Nine reservists with the 349th Air Mobility Wing, and one Airman assigned to the 60th Force Support Squadron participated in a presentation during the graduation, and then received their certificates from Col. Matt Burger, 349th AMW commander, Col. Patrick Williams, vice commander, and Command Chief Master Sgt. Ericka Kelly.

The new HG Airmen are: Tech. Sgts. Nicholas Cross and Rolando Lopez, 45th Aerial Port Squadron, Senior Airmen Erik Blevins and Gabriel Flores-Gamez, 349th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, Senior Airmen Gail Hayes, Michelle Jacobs and Robert Langston, 82nd APS, Senior Airmen Rochelle Berreles, 349th Security Forces Squadron, Senior Airmen Siera Corbett, 349th Memorial Affairs Squadron, and Senior Airmen Ashton Byers, 60th FSS.
