With their usual energy and aplomb, the 349th Air Mobility Wing Recruiting Squadron exceeded their fiscal year 2014 pledge goal of 270 accessions, by two.

According to Senior Master Sgt. Alexander Brown, squadron flight chief, it made for a fantastic year. "Not only did you (the team) exceed your mission requirement by 21 percent, you surpassed your Air Force Reserve Command Recruiting Service pledge, helping the command make end strength," he said. "You provided combat capable Airman to the war fight, and you did not do that alone."

Brown gives credit to a collaborative effort between his team and wing staff, 349th Force Support Squadron, 349th Aerospace Medicine Squadron, the Military Entrance Processing Station, the Development &Training Flight and public affairs. "I appreciate you, and it's my honor to serve with (all of) you!"

He also said it wouldn't have been possible without the support of partners and families, who take care of business on the home front.

Congratulations came from Col. Christopher Nick, commander of Reserve Recruiting, and Chief Master Sgt. William Jones, RS superintendent. "Thank you Team Travis, and all the support agencies that assisted in making this happen. As SMSgt Brown stated, we cannot do this job alone and it takes a lot of hard work, dedication and determination to be successful."

Achievements of the team for FY 2014 were: · Tech. Sgt. Bill Pullion: 349th AMW Recruiter of the Year, Western Recruiting Squadron NCO of the Quarter, 1st qtr, Top Prior Service Recruiter of the 1st Qtr, 349th AMW Top Producer, 1st Qtr. · Master Sgt. Michaela Brown: WRS SNCO of the 4th Qtr, Top Prior Service Recruiter of the 2nd Qtr. · Senior Master Sgt. Alex Brown: WRS SNCO of the 1st Qtr. · Tech. Sgt.
