349th AMW member reenlists with style, esprit de corps Published Dec. 22, 2014 By Master Sgt. Stephen Burke 312th Airlift Squadron TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Tech. Sgt. Edward Luna, 349th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, reenlists inflight aboard a 349th AMW C-5 Galaxy, Dec. 6. The aircraft, flown by a crew from the 312th Airlift Squadron was flying a Pacific channel mission. Luna was sworn in by the Oath of Enlistment by Lt. Col. William Westfahl, 349th Plans and a pilot assigned to the 312th Airlift Squadron. The ceremony took place in the cockpit of Luna's C-5, with the non-flying crew standing at attention as witnesses. The reenlistment took place approximately 300 miles east of Tokyo, Japan, at 29,000 ft. Luna's pride, work ethic and professional proficiency make him a shining example of the kind of quality Airmen assigned to the 349th Air Mobility Wing.
