By now, many of you may have notice a new icon on your computer desk top - vESD.  The Air Force Enterprise Service Desk has added this shortcut in order for you to get more timely assistance with your computer issues.

The idea is so you will no longer have to "wait in the queue" on the help line.  Click the short cut on your desk top and it takes to you the virtual Air Force Enterprise Service Desk.  There you will find automated tools that will help to resolve the most common issues.

"I think people will be happy with this new vESD," said Senior Master Sgt. Andrew Piehl, 349th Force Support Squadron, Chief, Information Systems "It will cut down on wait time, and I think that will help people from getting too frustrated."

The Virtual Enterprise Service Desk (vESD) (https://esd.us.af.mil/esdportal/default.aspx) helps with e-mail issues, desktop, laptop, mobile device, network, software, hardware and other user account capabilities. It is designed to be easy to use and for all levels of users.  If the vESD cannot resolve an issue, it will automatically generate a help desk ticket.  It also tracks your desk tickets and gives status updates. You can also update your Global Address List entry and find useful Self-Help tips at the Enterprise Service
