Lt. Col. Keith Whitehouse assumed the command of the 70th Air Refueling Squadron, April 18, 2015.

During the change of command ceremony, Whitehouse took the opportunity to honor Mr. Bruce Sooy, a World War II prisoner of war and retired pilot, who served for more than 40 years.

Whitehouse explained that the role of reservists has changed much over the years, but hoped that someone as decorated as Sooy would be impressed by the sharpness and diligence of our members.

The outgoing commander, Lt. Col. Thomas Corcoran, will continue to serve at Travis Air Force Base, Calif., as the deputy commander for the 349th Operations Group.
