349th Wing plans officer, Bronze Star recipient retires with more than 28 years of service Published July 9, 2015 By Lt. Col. Robert Couse-Baker 349th AMW Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Friends and family honored Lt. Col. Brian Paddock in a retirement ceremony June 20, 2015 at the Heritage Center, Travis Air Force Base, Calif. The officiating officer was Lt. Col. Bill Westfahl. Paddock's 28 years of service included multiple combat deployments and cumulated in the Air Force Reserve as chief of wing plans for the 349th Air Mobility Wing. His Bronze Star was presented by the commander of the 101st Airborne Division for exceptional service as an Air Force forward air controller with the Army's 3rd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment during Operation Desert Storm.
