About fifty students in the Jr. Reserve Officer Training Corps, Valley High School, Sacramento, California, visited Travis Air Force Base Sept. 24, to learn more about Air Mobility Command, and the base missions.

First stop was the 60th Air Mobility Wing military working dog kennels, for a demonstration. Staff Sgt. Nicholas Taylor, noncommissioned officer in charge of the kennels that day, introduced MWD Buck, and his handler, Senior Amn. Derrick Izzard, Jr. Eight year old Buck showed no mercy in attacking and taking down "perpetrator" Senior Amn. Jason Wong.

The group also observed aircraft on the flight line, enjoyed lunch in the Sierra Inn dining facility with the Travis Airmen, and ended their visit at the Travis Heritage Center museum, taking in some of the history of the base. (U.S. Air Force photos/)
