McCornack retires from 349th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron

After 30 years of military service, Master Sgt. Alan E. McCornack retires from the 349th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron Nov. 22, 2015 at Travis Air Force Base, Calif.

During the ceremony, Maj. Carlton A. Thompson, 349th AMXS commander, acknowledged McCornack's contributions to the squadron. "Many in this room have come to rely on his sage counsel, his steadfastness, and his reliability...Thank you for your service," he said.

As the career advisor for the squadron, McCornack counseled more than 80 Airmen on their professional military career options, contributed to 16 re-enlistments and 19 extensions.

He receives the Meritorious Service Medal, second oak leaf cluster, for meritorious service for Jan. 1, 2014 through Nov. 30, 2015.
