The 349th Air Mobility Wing members efforts were key in bringing the Sixth Annual Travis Fisher House Holiday Tree Festival and Auction donations to an outstanding grand total of $4,090.54, Nov. 29.

'Secret' bidding on this year's trees was the new format which may have been one of the reasons for the events huge success; with the 945th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron's tree bringing inĀ $300 with just their one tree.

The donations received from this year's event tripled last year's total of $1000, and doubled the all time high of $2,490 from the year 2005.

"People really got into it," said Master Sgt. Beverly James, 349th Air Mobility Wing. "It was a lot of fun watching everyone - even in the spirit of giving - still try and out guess each other so they could be the winning bidder!"

The Fisher House was established to support America's military in their time of need, providing "a home away from home" that enables family members to be close to a loved one at the most stressful time -- during hospitalization for an illness, disease or injury. The Fisher House is maintained by donations only.
