Memorial service annouced for 349th member lost in motorcycle accident

It is with deep regret that we inform the 349th Air Mobility Wing of the death of one of our own.

Senior Airman Cyril Tynes, 749th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, was killed July 12, 2009, in a motorcycle accident in Napa, Calif. He was 27.

Airman Tynes had previously served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantryman with the 1st Marine Division, Camp Pendleton, California.

There will be a memorial service July 21, at 1 p.m., at CHAPEL ONE (location changed since orginaly announced), Travis AFB. There will be a public viewing from 5-8 p.m. at Nadeau Family Funeral Home, 180 E. Monte Vista Ave., Vacaville.

There will be public viewing at Baker-Post Funeral Home, Manassas, Va., July 25 at 2 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. Cremation will follow the services.

Airman Tynes will be inurned at Arlington National Cemetery.

Our Airmen and their families are our number one priority, and we have lost a valued member of our family.

At this time, we ask that we keep his family in your thoughts and prayers: his wife, Senior Airman Kati Tynes, 6th Air Refueling Squadron; his father, Lt. Col. (ret) Dwight Tynes, and mother, Barbara, as well as his brothers Anthony and Stephen Tynes, and sisters Kimberly Tynes and Anjela Williams.
