Col. Barrett Broussard, 349th Air Mobility Wing vice commander (right), and Lt. Col. Karl E Goerke, 349th Operations Group Deputy Commander, salute during the wing change of command here Nov. 15.

Col. John (Jay) C. Flournoy, Jr., assumed command of the Air Force Reserve Command's largest associate wing from Brig. Gen. Maryanne Miller, who has been assigned to a position in the Pentagon.

The ceremony was well attended by members of Team Travis and the local community.

The change of command ceremony is a time-honored tradition which formally symbolizes the continuity of authority as the command is passed from one officer to another.
