349th MXS team rallies a win at Travis volleyball playoffs

The Reserve's 349th Maintenance Squadron soundly trounced the 60th MXS in two straight sets of volleyball May 5.

Team coach, Master Sgt. Noel Arbolado, assigned to Travis Air Force Base since 1995, said this was the first time, in his time here, that a Reserve unit had won a base sports championship.

The team is made up of two traditional reservists; Tech. Sgt. Mark Aldrette and Staff Sgt. Wilfred Abejo; two Air Force dependents, Ms. Monika O'Sullivan, Ms. Jami Dean and four air reserve technicians; Coach, Master Sgt. Arbolado, Master Sgt. David Dean, Staff Sgt. Ryan Brantly and Staff Sgt. Joseph Harris.

Tech. Sgt. Aldrette is assigned to the 349th Civil Engineer Squadron and Staff Sgt. Harris is assigned to the 749th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron but has been activated and is presently working for the 660th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron.
