Are you ready for some football? - Looking for military volunteers with ABUs to help at Monday Night game Published Sept. 7, 2010 By 349th Air Mobility Wing Public Affairs TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- The San Francisco 49ers have requested that Team Travis provide a military presence for the Monday night 5:30 p.m., Sept 20, for the game against the New Orleans Saints. They are looking for approximately 150 volunteers for this event to present a large U.S. flag in the middle of the field for the National Anthem. Master Sgt. James Hudson, 349th Honor Guard Superintendent, will be coordinating this event and making most of the arrangements. The members must wear the ABU uniform, no flight suits or BDUs. After the presentation military members will have a designated seat and may stay for the game if they so choose. Sorry no civilians, nor guests, only AF military members. Sergeant Hudson is compiling the names list and need to finalize it by COB Friday, Sept 10. As soon as he has the list and transportation set up he will e-mail everyone to give them further instructions. Please note that Travis Team members will meet at a designated location on base approximately 10 a.m. for 'roll call.'
