There have been a number of violations of the Universal Serial Bus device policy at Travis recently. The following guidance is provided:

- NO USB devices other than Government procured spinning hard-drives may be introduced into the government network. That means NO CELL PHONES, NO IPODS,
NO IPADS, NO FLASH MEDIA, NO DIGITAL CAMERAS, etc. can be plugged into a computer connected to the network.

- USB policy violations will result in account suspension, a Letter of Counseling and the re-accomplishment of the DoD Information Assurance Awareness training for a first offense. Subsequent violations can include punishment under Article 92 of the UCMJ.
