TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- Col. Jay Flournoy, wing commander, pinned the Air Force Meritorious Medal on Master Sgt. Rita Houchin.

Houchin received the award for her performance while deployed to Joint Base Balad.

Houchin is a chaplain's assistant with the 349th AMW chaplain office.
