Team Travis holds induction ceremony for honorary commanders

TRAVIS AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -- A Team Travis induction ceremony was held Jan. 6 for 42 honorary commanders at the Delta Breeze Club, Travis Air Force Base, Calif.

The honorary commander program fosters two-way interaction between military and civic leaders, strengthening the relationship between base and community.

Dr. Jowel C. Laguerre, Superintendent and President of Solano Community College District, concluded his tenure as 2010/2011 349th Air Mobility Wing Honorary Commander with base tour and a "flight" in the KC-10A Extender flight simulator, Jan. 7. Dr. Laguerre is succeeded as wing honorary commander by City of Napa Mayor Jill Techel.
