The Air Mobility Command Directorate of Logistics Engineering recently announced the Force Protection Individual and Unit Awards for 2017. The winner of the AMC Clements McMullen Daedalian Trophy is Travis Air Force Base's 60th and 349th Maintenance Groups.

"The fact that we have won this award three of the past five years - 2013, 2014 and 2017 - definitely speaks to the "culture" of dedicated, safe and compliance oriented maintenance professionals assigned to Travis AFB," said Col. Jeff Pickard, 349th MXG commander.

"Team Travis maintenance continues to amaze leadership with how they approach their responsibilities, while meeting and exceeding, arguably, the highest operations tempo in AMC," said Pickard.  "On behalf of the Reserve part of the team, we're grateful for the recognition for what we strive to accomplish every day in the shops, offices and on the flight line. We remain, 'one team, no seam."
