With the support of the California Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve organization, military members assigned to the 349th Air Mobility Wing, and individual mobilization augmentees assigned to the 60th AMW, had the opportunity to invite their civilian employer out for the day during the 349th AMW "Bosslift," June 3, 2017.

More than 50 employers came out to Travis Air Force Base to get an ESGR brief, were employers could ask questions, or just get some clarification on any Reserve/employer issues they may be having. They also received a Travis Team mission briefing, and then ended the day with an orientation flight on a C-5M, C-17, or KC-10 local training mission.

The purpose of this employer appreciation day was to give the civilian employer’s first-hand knowledge of Team Travis missions. This hopefully helps the employers see how their support of their Reservist directly impacts the Air Force mission, and the defense of our great nation.

Many of the employers are also civic leaders in their own right, so they are able to take this experience of the employer day and the Air Force story back to their own communities helping bridge the understanding of how important the job is of our Citizen Airmen.
