Colonel JENNIFER A. FIEDERER

Col. Jennifer Fiederer is the deputy commander of the 349th Air Mobility Wing, Travis Air Force Base, California. She is responsible for leading more than 2,700 Airmen and representing the largest Reserve associate wing in the U.S. Air Force.

The wing generates and sustains combat-ready mobility Airmen and provides mission readiness and support for the KC-10 Extender, C-5M Super Galaxy, C-17Globemaster III, and KC-46A Pegasus aircraft for agile combat support for expeditionary joint war-fighting requirements, while administering medical care and patient transport worldwide. The wing prioritizes effective transformation into the future, the care for Airmen and families, and to actively develop Airman leadership.

Colonel Fiederer is a native of Corsicana, Texas. She received her commission from the U.S. Air Force Academy in 1998 with a degree in political science. She is a veteran of Operations Northern and Southern Watch, as well as Operations Enduring Freedom, Iraqi Freedom, and Noble Eagle, flying 800 combat hours and more than 100 combat sorties.

Colonel Fiederer joined the Air Force Reserve in 2009. She has logged more than 3,300 hours in the KC-135R/T and T-6A. In her civilian job, Colonel Fiederer is a commercial airline pilot.
